The other so-called “green” beds on the market are mostly filled with recycled bottle caps and metal zippers that can take thousands of years to decompose. Dog Gone Smart™ Green is the first to design a completely natural bed that is good for the environment and good for your pet.

• Generously filled with an all natural organic material called kapok from the cotton tree providing ultimate comfort and support for sound sleeping.
• Kapok is bitter and naturally repels bacteria and microbes. Great for pets that suffer from allergies due to dust mites which cannot live in the kapok fiber, creating a healthier environment for your pet
• Biodegradable zippers made from corn and other plant materials begin to biodegrade within 140 days, completely breaking down into water and carbon dioxide.
• Removable cover is machine washable warm gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. The kapok bed inserts should not be washed but shaken out and aired.

As an important part of the rainforest eco-system, the cotton tree is never destroyed during the harvesting of kapok.
